Tips for Using Himalayan Salt for Hot and Cold Therapy
Himalayan salt is excellent for hot and cold therapy.
The moist heated salt will soothe tensions, muscles, aching bones and release toxins from the body to help heal and distress. Since the salt is moist, it penetrates deeper into the body than a dry heat.

Tips To heat Himalayan salt for body
Use either a So Well Himalayan Salt Pillow available in 3 sizes, by putting them in the OVEN only at a low temperature of 195 degrees or less.

We also offer salt stones in 3 shapes, hearts, rounds and rectangles, that can also be heated for self massage or couples massage and provide a “stone pressure point therapy” effect but with the added benefits of Himalayan salt. For helping feet detox and relax, you can use one our Himalayan salt detox foot beds or detox foot tiles. Just heat in the oven for 5-10 minutes and place your feet on them. Salt can be placed in the oven safely at a LOW temperature. Be sure to test your salt is not too hot before placing feet on them.
All of our Salt products can also be placed in the fridge or freezer safely or used as is and will also have enormous healing benefits.

Other heat sources like convection oven, radiator, sun are ok
Heating time will vary between 10 minutes to 20 minutes depending on the size of the pillow and the oven.
Make sure your salt product is not too hot before using. Reheat as needed.
